Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51350

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out one day and night, and he saw Abu Bakr and Omar. He said: “What brought you out of Your homes at this hour? They said: Hunger. He said: “By the One in whose hand is my soul, the one who brought you out would have brought me out.” So they stood up with him. So he came to a man from the Ansar, but he was not in his house. When the woman saw him, she said: Welcome, and welcome. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to her: “Where is so-and-so?” She said: He went to seek water for us when the Ansari came and looked at the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He and his two companions greeted him, then said: Praise be to God, no one today is a more generous guest than me. He said: So he set off and brought them a bunch of dates containing dates and dates, and he said: Eat of these. He took the knife and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: “Beware of dairy products.” So he slaughtered for them and they ate of it. The sheep and from that stalk, and they drank. When they were full and had had enough, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to Abu Bakr and Omar: “By the One With His hand, you will be asked about this bliss on the Day of Resurrection. Hunger drove you out of your homes, and you did not return until this happened to you. Bliss. Narrated by Muslim. He mentioned the hadith of Abu Masoud: There was a man from the Ansar in “the door of the feast.”
