Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51820

On the authority of Asma bint Yazid, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was in my house and he mentioned the Antichrist and said: “Indeed, before him are three years, a year during which a third of the heaven will cover you.” Its diameter, and the earth, is one-third of its growth. The second is the sky, two-thirds of its diameter, and the earth, two-thirds of its growth. And the third: It holds the sky with its entire diameter, and the earth with its entire growth. Not a hoofed female nor a molar female among the animals remains without it perishing, and among the worst of his trials is that he comes to the Bedouin and says: Have you seen? I revived your camels for you. Do you not know that I am your Lord? He says, “Yes.” Then Satan will appear to him like his camel, with the best udders and the greatest humps.” He said: “And the man comes when his brother has died and he has died.” His father says: What do you think if I revive your father and your brother, do you not know that I am your Lord? Then he says: Yes, and the devils appear to him like his father and something like His brother.” She said: Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out for his need and then returned while the people were concerned and distressed by what had happened to them. She said: So he took hold of the two door handles and said: “What is the matter with Asma?” I said: O Messenger of God, you have disturbed our hearts by mentioning the Antichrist. He said: “If he comes out.” While I am alive, I am his proof. Otherwise, my Lord is my successor over every believer.” So I said: O Messenger of God, by God, we knead our dough and will not bake it until We will starve, so how will the believers be on that day? He said: “They are sufficient for what is sufficient for the inhabitants of heaven in terms of praise and sanctification.” Narrated by Ahmed
