Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52198

On the authority of Jabir, he said: We walked with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until we descended on Wadi Afiha, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went to judge. He needed it, but he did not see anything to cover him with, and he saw two trees on the shore of the valley, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, set off. He handed over to one of them, and he took one of its branches and said, “Let me be saved, God willing.” So she was led along with him like a scratched camel that He kept up with his leader until he came to the other tree, so he took one of its branches and said, “I will be led by me, God willing.” So I was led by him as well. Even if he was being fair about what was between them, he said, “They have come together over me, God willing.” So they came together, and I sat talking to myself, then a gesture came from me, and behold, I The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was coming, and the two trees had separated, and each one of them stood on a stalk.
