وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُنَيْنًا فَوَلَّى صَحَابَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا غَشُوا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَ عَنِ الْبَغْلَةِ ثُمَّ قَبَضَ قَبْضَةً مِنْ تُرَابٍ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ بِهِ وُجُوهَهُمْ فَقَالَ شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ فَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنْسَانًا إِلَّا مَلَأَ عَيْنَيْهِ تُرَابًا بِتِلْكَ الْقَبْضَةِ فَوَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ فَهَزَمَهُمْ الله عز وَجل وَقَسْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غنائمهم بَين الْمُسلمين رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Salamah ibn al-Akwa’, he said: We fought with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, at Hunayn, and the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, departed, and when They deceived the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He got off the mule, then he took a handful of dirt from the ground, then He turned toward their faces and said, “The faces were astonished. God did not create any of them except that He filled his eyes with dust with that fist, so they turned away, retreating.” Then God Almighty defeated them, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, divided their spoils among the Muslims.
