Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52202

On the authority of Abu Ishaq, he said: A man said to Al-Baraa: O Abu Ammarah, you fled on the day of Hunayn. Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith was leading him, so he descended and sought victory and said, “I am the Prophet. He is not lying. I am Ibn Abdul-Muttalib.” Then he lined them up. Narrated by Muslim. Al-Bukhari has its meaning, and in a narration of theirs, Al-Baraa said: By God, when the battle was reddened, we would protect ourselves from it, and the bravest among us is the one who faces it, meaning the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
