Hadith #26754
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَمَرَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَوْلُهُ ‏ "‏ بِبِنَاءِ الْمَسَاجِدِ فِي الدُّورِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي الْقَبَائِلَ ‏.‏
Ibn Abi Umar told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of his father, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave a command and he mentioned something similar to it. Sufyan said what he said “By building mosques in the villages,” meaning the tribes.
