Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29701

Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said “When God created creation, He wrote with His own hand upon Himself, ‘My mercy prevails over my wrath.’” Abu Issa said, “This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith.” .
