Hadith #26767
Hanad narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Sharik, on the authority of Abdullah bin Isa, on the authority of Ibn Jabr, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He said: “Two pounds of water are sufficient for ablution.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of a partner on this matter. Pronunciation. Shu’bah narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Jabr on the authority of Anas bin Malik that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to perform ablution with a shuttle. He washes himself with five Makki. It was narrated on the authority of Sufyan Al-Thawri, on the authority of Abdullah bin Isa, on the authority of Abdullah bin Jabr, on the authority of Anas that The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to perform ablution with a mudd and bathe with a saa’. This is more correct than the hadith of Sharik.
