Hadith #26788
Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Abdul Wahhab Al-Thaqafi told us, Ubayd Allah bin Omar told us, on the authority of Nafi’, he said, Omar bin Abdul Aziz asked me about Honey charity. He said, “We do not have honey to give in charity.” But Al-Mughirah ibn Hakim told us that he said, “There is no honey.” Honey is charity. Omar said: It is justice and satisfactory. So he wrote to the people that it should be given, meaning on their behalf.
