Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26787

Amr ibn Abi Salamah al-Tannisi told us, on the authority of Sadaqa ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Musa ibn Yasar, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, the Messenger of God said, May God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “There is a lane of honey for every ten lanes.” And on the subject, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, Abu Sayyarat al-Mut’i, and Abd Allah Ibn Amr. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Ibn Omar contains a certain article in its chain of transmission, but it is not authentic on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on this subject there is a great deal and work. This is according to most of the people of knowledge, and this is what Ahmad and Ishaq say. Some of the people of knowledge said that there is nothing in honey. Sadaqa bin Abdullah is not a memorizer, and he contradicted Sadaqa bin Abdullah in narrating this hadith on the authority of Nafi’.
