Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27577

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Abu Amir Al-Aqdi told us, Abdul Aziz bin Al-Muttalib told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Hasan, on the authority of Ibrahim Bin Muhammad bin Talha, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “Whoever is killed while protecting his wealth is a martyr.” He said, on the authority of Ali, Sa`id bin Zaid, Abu Hurairah, Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, and Jabir. Abu Issa said the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr is a hasan hadith, and it was narrated from him through more than one authority. Some people of knowledge have permitted a man to fight for himself and his money. And he said Ibn Al-Mubarak fights for his money, even if it is two dirhams.
