حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا، سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ
" عَنِ الْغُلاَمِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ وَاحِدَةٌ وَلاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Khalal told us, Abdul Razzaq told us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, Ubayd Allah bin Abi Yazid told us, on the authority of Siba’ bin Thabit, That Muhammad bin Thabit bin Siba’ told him that Umm Karaz told him that she asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about the Aqeeqah. He said, “Two sheep for the boy, and one for the girl, and it does not harm you, whether male or female.” Abu Issa said this is a good hadith. True.
