Hadith #27653
Muhammad bin Ubaid Al-Muharbi Al-Kufi told us, Sharik told us, on the authority of Abu Al-Hasna, on the authority of Al-Hakam, on the authority of Hanash, on the authority of Ali, that he used to sacrifice With two rams, one on behalf of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the other on his own behalf. He was told, and he said, “He commanded me to do so,” meaning the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. So I will never leave him. Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know of it except from the hadith of Sharik. Some people of knowledge have permitted the sacrifice On behalf of the dead, and some of them did not think that a sacrifice should be made on his behalf. And Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said: I would rather give alms on his behalf and not have a sacrifice on his behalf. And if he sacrifices, he should not eat any of it and give it all in charity. Muhammad said: Ali bin Al-Madini said, and it was narrated by more than one partner. I told him: Abu Al-Hasna, what is his name? He did not know it. A Muslim said, His name is Al-Hassan.
