حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَعَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَسًا لَنَا يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْدُوبٌ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, Ibn Abi Adiy, and Abu Dawud narrated to us, they said: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik, he said: There was a panic in the city, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, borrowed a horse of ours called Mandoub, and he said: “What we saw of So panic, even if We found it to be a sea.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
