Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27835

Muhammad bin Humayd al-Razi told us, Salama bin al-Fadl told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of Abd Al-Rahman bin Awf said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, attacked us at Badr at night. Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Abu Ayyub. And this is a hadith. He is a stranger and we do not know him except from this perspective. I asked Muhammad bin Ismail about this hadith, but he did not know it. Muhammad bin Ishaq said: He heard from Ikrimah. And when I saw him, he had a good opinion of Muhammad bin Humayd al-Razi, but then he weakened it later.
