Hadith #27942
Qutaibah narrated to us, Muhammad bin Rabi’ah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Hasan Al-Asqalani, on the authority of Abu Ja’far bin Muhammad bin Rukana, on the authority of his father, that Rukana wrestled with the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wrestled with him. Rukana said, “I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say.” The difference between us and the polytheists is the turbans over hoods.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith and its chain of transmission is not reliable. We know neither Abu Al-Hasan Al-Asqalani nor Ibn Rukana.
