Abu Ammar narrated to us, Al-Fadl bin Musa narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr, Waqid bin Amr bin Saad bin Muadh narrated to us, he said: Anas presented Ibn Malik, so I went to him and he said, “Who are you?” I said, “I am Waqid Ibn Amr Ibn Sa’d Ibn Muadh.” He said, “He cried and said, ‘You look like Sa’d.’” And indeed Sa'd was one of the greatest and tallest people. He sent the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, a robe made of brocade woven with gold, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wore it. He said the salutation, then he ascended the pulpit and stood or sat, and the people touched her and said, “We have never seen a garment like today.” He said, “Do you marvel at these? Sa’d’s handkerchiefs in Paradise are better than what you see.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Asma’ bint Abu Bakr. This is an authentic hadith
