Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28062

Sufyan bin Wakee’ told us, my father told us, on the authority of Israel, he said, Muhammad bin Ahmad, who is Ibn Madawayh, told us, Ubayd Allah told us Ibn Musa, on the authority of Israel, and the wording, based on the hadith of Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Abu Ishaq Al-Hamdani, on the authority of Al-Bara’ ibn Azib, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The maternal aunt is in the same position as the mother.” And there is a long story in the hadith. This is an authentic hadith.
