Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26310

Ahmad bin Mani’, Al-Hasan bin Al-Sabbah Al-Bazzar narrated to us, and Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Musa, meaning one, they said, Ishaq bin Yusuf narrated to us. Al-Azraq, on the authority of Sufyan Al-Thawri, on the authority of Alqamah ibn Murthad, on the authority of Sulayman ibn Buraydah, on the authority of his father, he said he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace A man, peace be upon him, asked him about the times for prayer, and he said, “Stay with us, God willing.” So he ordered Bilal to stay when dawn came, then he ordered him to stay. So he stood when the sun had set and prayed the noon prayer, then he commanded him. So he stood and prayed the afternoon prayer while the sun was white and high, then he commanded him. In the sunset, when the veil of the sun set, then he commanded him to perform the evening prayer, and he stayed in prayer when twilight had set, then he commanded him to start the morning, so he made light for dawn, then he commanded him At noon, so it cooled down and he made it cool. Then he commanded him to perform the afternoon prayer, so he stayed while the sun was at the end of its time, above what it was. Then he commanded him, so he delayed it. Maghrib until just before twilight had set, then he ordered him to eat dinner, so he stayed in prayer until a third of the night had passed. Then he said, “Where is the one who asked about the timings of “Prayer.” The man said, “I am.” He said, “The times for prayer are as between these two.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good, strange, and authentic hadith.” He said: Shu`bah narrated it on the authority of Alqamah ibn Marthad as well.
