Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28139

Qutaibah told us, Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Al-Ala’ bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Whatever they say is clear, then the one who takes it is responsible for it, as long as the oppressed person does not transgress.” And on the authority of Saad and Ibn Masoud and Abdullah bin Mughaffal. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
