Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28168

Nasr bin Ali Al-Jahdhami told us, Nuh bin Qais told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Imran, on the authority of Asim Al-Ahwal, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sarjis Al-Muzani, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Good character, patience, and economy are one of the twenty-four parts of “Prophecy.” And on the subject, on the authority of Ibn Abbas. This is a good and strange hadith. Qutaibah narrated to us, Nuh bin Qays narrated to us, on the authority of Abd Allah bin Imran, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sarjis, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the like, but no mention was made of Asim in it. The authentic hadith is the hadith of Nasr bin Aliyah.
