Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28214

Abdah bin Abdullah Al-Khuza’i told us, Muawiyah bin Hisham told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Harith, On the authority of Anas, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave permission to perform ruqyah against a fever, an evil eye, or an ant. Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, he said Yahya bin Adam told us, and Abu Nu`aym told us, they said, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Asim Al-Ahwal, on the authority of Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Al-Harith, on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave permission for the ruqyah of the hamma and ant. Abu Issa said, and in my opinion this is more sound than the hadith. Muawiyah bin Hisham, on the authority of Sufyan. Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Buraydah, Imran bin Husayn, Jabir, Aisha, and Talq bin Ali Amr bin Hazm and Abu Khuzama on the authority of his father.
