Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28381

Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Muhammad bin Al-Ala narrated to us, Omar bin Ubaid Al-Tanafisi narrated to us, on the authority of Samak bin Harb, on the authority of Jabir bin Samurah, the Messenger of God said, God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “There will be twelve princes after me.” He said, then he spoke something that I did not understand, so I asked the person next to me. So he said, “They are all from Quraysh.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hasan and authentic hadith. Abu Kurayb told us, Omar bin Ubaid told us, on the authority of His father, on the authority of Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa, on the authority of Jabir ibn Samurah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, such a hadith was narrated through more than one authority, on the authority of Jabir bin Samurah. Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange hadith that is strange from the hadith of Abu Bakr bin Abi Musa on the authority of Jabir bin Samurah. And on the authority of Ibn Masoud and Abdullah bin Amr.
