حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ " . قَالَ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ ذَكَرَ الثَّالِثَ أَمْ لاَ " ثُمَّ يَنْشَأُ أَقْوَامٌ يَشْهَدُونَ وَلاَ يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ وَيَخُونُونَ وَلاَ يُؤْتَمَنُونَ وَيَفْشُو فِيهِمُ السِّمَنُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Qutayba bin Saeed narrated to us, Abu Awanah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Zurara bin Awfa, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said: The Messenger said: God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “The best of my nation is the century into which I was sent, then those after them.” He said, “And I do not know whether he mentioned the third or not.” Then There will arise people who will bear witness but will not be martyred, who will betray and will not be trusted, and fat will spread among them.” Abu Issa said: This is a hadith.
