Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28387

Qutayba bin Saeed told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Abu Qalaba, on the authority of Abu Asma al-Rahbi, on the authority of Thawban, he said, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “I only fear for my nation the misleading Imams.” He said, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “No.” A group of my nation will continue to adhere to the truth, victorious, and will not be harmed by anyone who abandons them, until the command of God comes.” Abu Issa said, and this is a hadith. Hassan Sahih. He said, I heard Muhammad bin Ismail saying, I heard Ali bin Al-Madini saying, and he mentioned this hadith on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted, “A group of my nation will continue to adhere to the truth.” Then Ali said, “They are the people of hadith.”
