Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27626

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, he said, I heard Saeed bin Jubayr, speaking on the authority of Uday Ibn Hatim, he said, “I said, ‘O Messenger of God, shoot the game and find in it the next day my arrow.’” He said, “If you knew that your arrow killed it and you did not see it in it.” He preferred seven, then eat. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge. Shu’bah narrated This hadith is on the authority of Abu Bishr and Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Jubayr, on the authority of Adi ibn Hatim, and both hadiths are authentic.
