Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28420

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna narrated to us, Khaled bin Al-Harith narrated to us, Humaid Al-Taweel narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Abu Bakra, he said, “May God protect me with something.” I heard it from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when Chosroes died. He said, “Who did they appoint as successors?” They said, “His daughter.” So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said. May God bless him and grant him peace: “No people will succeed if they have a woman in charge of their affairs.” He said: When Aisha came to Basra, I mentioned the words of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So God protected me from it. Abu Issa said: This is an authentic hadith.
