Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28458

Abdul bin Humaid told us, Muhammad bin Ubaid told us, Sufyan, who is Ibn Ziyad Al-Asfari told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Habib bin Al-Numan. Al-Asadi, on the authority of Khuraym bin Fatik Al-Asadi, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed the morning prayer, and when he left, he stood up and said “False testimony has been equated with associating others with God.” Three times, then he recited this verse (And avoid false speech) until the end of the verse. Abu Issa said, “This, in my view, is more correct.” Khurraym bin Fatik has a companion and he narrated hadiths on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he is famous.
