Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28460

Wasil bin Abdul-Ala told us, Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Ali bin Mudarrak, on the authority of Hilal bin Yasaf, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, “The best people are my generation, then those after them, then those after them, then Those who follow them will be three, then a people will come after them who will grow fat and love fat. Abu Issa, and this is a strange hadith from the hadith of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ali ibn Mudrak, and the companions of Al-A’mash only narrated on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Hilal ibn Yasaf, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn.
