Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28660

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Yahya bin Saeed narrated to us, and Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, they said, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Ali bin Al-Aqmar, on the authority of Abu Hudhayfah, who was one of the companions of Ibn Masoud, on the authority of Aisha, who said: I told the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, a man, and he said, “I am not happy that I “I told a man that I had such-and-such and such-and-such.” She said, “I said, ‘O Messenger of God, Safiyya is a woman,’ and she said such-and-such with her hand as if she meant Short.
