Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30072

Qutaibah bin Saad narrated to us, saying: Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Sa’id bin Abi Sa’id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Amr bin Sulaym al-Zarqi, on the authority of Asim bin Omar, On the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, he said: We went out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until we were at Harrat al-Saqya, which belonged to Saad bin Abu Waqqas, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Bring me ablution.” He performed ablution, then got up and faced the Qiblah, then said, “O God, Abraham was your servant and your friend, and he prayed for blessing for the people of Mecca, and I, your servant and messenger, invite you to bless the people of Medina. “They will have in their time and time equal to what You have blessed for the people of Mecca, with two blessings.” This is a good and authentic hadith.
