حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَخْبَرَةَ، عَنْ سَخْبَرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لِمَا مَضَى " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ ضَعِيفُ الإِسْنَادِ . أَبُو دَاوُدَ يُضَعَّفُ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَخْبَرَةَ كَبِيِرَ شَيْءٍ وَلاَ لأَبِيهِ وَاسْمُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ نُفَيْعٌ الأَعْمَى تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ قَتَادَةُ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ .
Muhammad bin Humaid Al-Razi narrated to us, Muhammad bin Al-Mu’alla narrated to us, Ziyad bin Khaythamah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Dawud, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sakhbra, on the authority of Sakhbra, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “Whoever seeks knowledge will make atonement for what has passed.” Abu Issa said this is a hadith. The chain of transmission is weak. Abu Dawud is weak, and we do not know anything about Abdullah bin Sukhbara Kabir or his father, and the name of Abu Dawud is Nufay’.
