Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28861

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna and Ibrahim bin Yaqoub narrated to us, saying: Ruh bin Ubadah narrated to us, on the authority of Habib bin Al-Shahid, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “The rider greets the walking, the walking greets the sitting, and the few greets the many.” Ibn al-Muthanna added in his hadith: “And the young greet the old.” And on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Shibl and Fadalah bin Ubaid. And Jabir. Abu Issa said, “This is a hadith that was narrated through more than one authority on the authority of Abu Hurairah.” Ayoub al-Sakhtiyaani and Yunus ibn Ubaid said. And Ali bin Zaid said that Al-Hasan did not hear from Abu Hurairah.
