Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28889

Suwayd bin Nasr told us, Abdullah told us, Yahya bin Ayyub told us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Zahr, on the authority of Ali bin Yazid, on the authority of Al-Qasim Abi Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of Abu Umamah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “It is perfect for the patient to give birth.” One of you has his hand on his forehead, or he said on his hand, and asks him how he is, and the completion of your greetings between you is a handshake.” Abu Issa said this. The chain of transmission is not strong. Muhammad said, Ubayd Allah ibn Zuhar is trustworthy, Ali ibn Yazid is weak, and al-Qasim ibn Abd al-Rahman is nicknamed Abu Abd al-Rahman, who is the client of Abd al-Rahman bin Khalid bin Yazid bin Muawiyah, and he is trustworthy and al-Qasim is a Syrian.
