Hadith #29350
Nasr bin Ali Al-Jahdhami narrated to us, Al-Mu’tamar bin Sulaiman narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Sulayman Al-A’mash, on the authority of Atiya, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, he said On the day of Badr, the Romans defeated Persia, and the believers were impressed by that, so the verse was revealed: ((The Romans defeated the Romans)) to his saying: (The believers rejoice in God’s victory.) He said, so the believers rejoiced at the appearance of the Romans over Persia. He said, “This is a good, strange hadith from this.” This is how Nasr bin Ali recited: (The Romans have defeated).
