Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29173

Abd bin Humaid told us, Yahya bin Adam told us, Ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir, he said, I heard Jabir bin Abdullah, He says: I fell ill, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to visit me, and I had fainted. When I woke up, I said, “How should I spend my money?” and he remained silent. On my authority until it was revealed: (God enjoins upon you concerning your children: for the male the portion of two females.) Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith. More than one person narrated on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir. Al-Fadl bin Al-Sabbah Al-Baghdadi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Al-Munkadir, On the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and in the hadith of Al-Fadl bin Al-Sabbah there are more words than this.
