Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29110

Abdul bin Humaid told us, Hibban bin Hilal told us, Suhail bin Abdullah told us, and he is the son of Abi Hazm, the brother of Hazm Al-Quti’. They stressed in this regard that the Qur’an should be interpreted in something other than Knowledge. As for what was narrated on the authority of Mujahid, Qatada, and other people of knowledge, that they interpreted the Qur’an, it is not to be suspected that they said In the Qur’an, or they interpreted it without knowledge or on their own initiative, and what was narrated from them indicates what we said, that they did not say of Before themselves without knowledge. Al-Hussein bin Mahdi Al-Basri told us, Abd al-Razzaq told us, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of Qatada, he said: There is a verse in the Qur’an except that I heard something about it.
