Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28634

Hanad narrated to us, Yunus bin Bukayr narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, Yazid bin Ziyad narrated to me, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ka’b Al-Qurazi, narrated to me Who heard Ali bin Abi Talib say, “We were sitting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the mosque when Mus’ab bin Umayr had nothing on him but his cloak, patched with fur. When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw him, he wept for the blessing he had been in and the blessing he is in today. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “How will it be if one of you went out in a suit in the morning and went to bed in a suit and it was placed in his hands? One page and another was raised and you will cover your homes as the Kaaba is covered.” They said, “O Messenger of God, we will be better on that day than we are today.” We devote ourselves to worship and the provisions are sufficient. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “You are better today than you will be on that day.” Abu Issa said. This is a hasan hadith. Yazid bin Ziyad is Ibn Maysarah, and he is a Madani. Malik bin Anas and more than one of the people narrated from him.
