Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29276

Mahmoud bin Khadash Al-Baghdadi told us, Saif bin Muhammad Al-Thawri told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And he gave a salutation in his saying: (And We prefer some of them to others in eating) He said: “The dagal, the Persian, the sweet, and the sour.” He said, “This is a good and strange hadith, and it was narrated by Zaid bin Abi Anisa on the authority of Al-A’mash, similar to this. Saif bin Muhammad is the brother of Ammar bin Muhammad and Ammar are more steadfast than him, and he is the nephew of Sufyan Al-Thawri.
