Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29295

Abu Kurayb told us, Waki` told us, on the authority of Dawud bin Yazid al-Zaafari, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said in His statement: (Perhaps your Lord will raise you to a praiseworthy station.) He was asked about it. He said, “It is intercession.” Abu Issa said this is a hadith. Hassan. Daoud Al-Zaafiri is Daoud Al-Awdi Ibn Yazid Ibn Abdul-Rahman, and he is the uncle of Abdullah Ibn Idris.
