Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29399

Suwayd bin Nasr told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of Anbasa bin Saeed, on the authority of Habib bin Abi Amra, on the authority of Mujahid, he said Ibn Abbas said, “Do you know how vast Hell is?” I said, “No.” He said, “Yes, by God. You do not know.” Aisha told me that she asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Peace and blessings of God be upon him, on the authority of his saying: (And the entire earth will be his grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be rolled up with his right hand.) She said: I said: Where will the people be on that day? O Messenger of God, he said, “On the bridge of Hell.” And there is a story in the hadith. He said, “This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith from this perspective.”
