Salih bin Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Wasafi, on the authority of Atiya, on the authority of Abu Saeed, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said “ Whoever says when he goes to bed, “I ask forgiveness from God Almighty, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Subsisting, and I repent to Him.” Three times, God forgave his sins, even if they were like the foam of the sea, even if they were the number of leaves on a tree, even if they were the size of hard sand, even if “It was the number of days of the world.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and strange hadith.
