Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29530

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Marwan bin Muawiyah told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Dhar, on the authority of Yasa’, on the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Bashir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “Supplication is worship.” Then he recited: “And your Lord said, ‘Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Indeed, those who are arrogant My worshipers will enter Hell in humiliation. He said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. Mansour and Al-Amash narrated it on the authority of a single word, but we do not know it. Except from the hadith of Dharr. He is Dharr bin Abdullah Al-Hamdani, trustworthy, father of Omar bin Dharr.
