Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29910

Abu Kurayb told us, and Abu Sa`id al-Ashjaj told us, they said: Abu Usama told us, on the authority of Mujalid, on the authority of Amer al-Sha’abi, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, he said Saad came and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “This is my uncle. Let someone show me his uncle.” This is a good, strange hadith. We do not know it except those who Hadith of Mujalid. Saad bin Abi Waqqas was from Banu Zahra, and the mother of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was from Banu Zahra. That is why the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said “ “This is my uncle.”
