حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ أخبرنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَىُّ أَصْحَابِ انَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِليه؟ قَالَتْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ فَسَكَتَتْ.
Ahmad bin Al-Duraqi told us, Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, on the authority of Al-Jariri, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Shaqiq, he said: I said to Aisha: “What companions?” Which Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was more beloved to him? She said: Abu Bakr. I said: Then who? She said, “Then Omar.” I said, “Then who?” Then Abu, she said Ubaida bin Al-Jarrah. I said, then who? She remained silent.
