حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُكْتِبُ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، قَال حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ دَعَا لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يُؤْتِيَنِي اللَّهُ الْحِكْمَةَ مَرَّتَيْنِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَطَاءٍ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عِكْرِمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ‏.‏
Muhammad ibn Hatim al-Muttab al-Mu’addeeb narrated to us, he said, al-Qasim ibn Malik al-Muzani narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Suleiman, on the authority of Ata’, On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed for me twice that God would give me wisdom. Abu Issa said: This is a hadith. It is good and strange in this respect, from the hadith of Ata’. It was narrated by Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn Abbas.
