Jami at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30057

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said: Abu Amir told us, on the authority of Zuhair bin Muhammad, on the authority of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, on the authority of Tufail bin Ubayy ibn Ka’b, on the authority of his father, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “If it had not been for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar.” And with this The chain of transmission is on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “If the people had taken a valley or a path, I would have been with the Ansar.” This is a hasan hadith.
