Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30090

Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, he said, Yahya bin Adam told us, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, he said, Salih bin Abi Salih told us, a servant Amr bin Harith said: I heard Abu Hurairah saying, “The non-Arabs were mentioned to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘Because I am in love with them. “Or am I more trustworthy in some of them than I am in you or in some of you?” This is a strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash. This Salih bin Abi Salih is called Salih bin Mihran, the client of Amr bin Harith.
