Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30091

Ali bin Hajar narrated to us, he said, Abdullah bin Jafar narrated to us, he said, Thawr bin Zayd Al-Dili narrated to me, on the authority of Abu Al-Ghaith, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, He said, “We were with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when Surat Al-Jumu’ah was revealed, and he recited it. When he reached the message: (And others of them, when They will join them.) A man said to him, “O Messenger of God, one of those who did not join us, so he did not speak to him.” He said, “And Salman the Persian is among us.” He said, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, placed his hand on Salman and said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, if faith were a chandelier, he would take it.” “Men of these.” This is a good hadith. It was narrated in more than one way, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. His name is Abu Al-Ghaith.
