Hadith #36813
وقد زار عبيد الله بن زياد مكيل بن يسار وهو على فراش الموت. فقال له مكيل: أنا أحدثك حديثا سمعته من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. أنا النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم). سمعت (عليه السلام) أن العبد إذا تولى الله قوماً، فلم يرهم بإحسان، لم يشم رائحة الجنة. (البخاري جزء 93 باب 8 حديث رقم 7150 ؛ مسلم 33/5، هـ). 142)
Ubaidullah bin Ziyad visited Mikael bin Yasar on his deathbed. Mikael said to him: I am telling you a hadith that I heard from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. I am the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace). I heard (peace be upon him) that if a servant of God takes care of a people and does not see them with goodness, he will not smell the scent of Paradise. (Al-Bukhari, Part 93, Chapter 8, Hadith No. 7150; Muslim 33/5, AH). 142)
